Overview
EBML is a service organization that provides water for about half of the Lebanese people located in the Lebanese capital Beirut and the regions of Mount Lebanon starting from the Madfoun area separating Batroun and Jbeil districts until Al Awwali.
The establishment is responsible for distributing potable water equally to all citizens. It is also responsible for distributing irrigation water and monitoring the quality of water that reaches homes.
It is concerned with studying water networks, implementing, investing, maintaining and renewing them to distribute drinkable water and irrigation, in addition to studying and implementing reservoirs to collect and distribute water; among its responsibilities is to operate wastewater refining plants, and to collect, treat, and dispose this water in accordance with the general plan for water and sanitation approved by the Ministry of Energy and Water, in coordination with the official references.
The establishment also monitors the quality of potable and irrigation water and the quality of wastewater in the areas of water purification plants, which is an essential part of its activities.

Despite the multiple drawbacks in overall government institutions, EBML has the potential to grow and become one of the most efficient public entities in the country.

Having a clear mission of providing distinctive water quality and 24hr supply across the territory in charge.

The institution is on a continuous thrive to modernize itself by implementing a series of reforms across all aspects of the business cycle.


Vision

The establishment’s vision revolves around building a solid trust relationship with subscribers in the capital Beirut and Mount Lebanon regions by ensuring that they get their right to clean water around the clock, by adopting transparency and professionalism and by developing and modernizing the company and ensuring continuous service from the inside out. EBML always strives to create a culture of dealing with citizens, whether on the service level, to restore the citizen’s confidence in the establishment and its employees, or on the level of encouraging citizens to legislate their conditions and record their contributions if they use water bypassing the establishment’s law.
