With the aim to enhance the capabilities of technicians around the stages of operating in Beirut and Mount Lebanon water stations and their components, the Lebanese Water Project (LWP), with the funding from the United States Agency for International Development, organized training courses on operating and maintaining water pumping stations in Lebanon, to enhance methods for identifying indicators of problems, solutions and daily follow-up.
All departments, their officials, operating technicians and station controllers in the Beirut and Mount Lebanon Water Corporation participated in the departments of Jbeil and Aley stations.
16 trainees of sewage station officials, operators and technicians in the institution participated in a training course that spanned nine days, at which the participants at the end of the course obtained a certificate and a license to practice the profession of wastewater collection operator level one.
